T.J. O’Hara is an internationally recognized author, speaker and executive consultant with extensive experience in businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He has served as President and CEO for a number of corporations including a professional development firm in the financial services industry, an executive consulting boutique (specializing in strategic planning, acquisitions and divestitures, and executive mentoring) and leading-edge technology companies in the field of automated supply chain management and automated data collection systems integration. Mr. O’Hara has also served as a senior executive heading up sales, marketing and strategic planning for several multi-billion dollar corporations including The Buhrmann Group/Corporate Express (Netherlands), Moore Corporation Ltd. (Canada) and The Reynolds & Reynolds Company (US).
Prior to entering the corporate world, Mr. O’Hara was involved in professional sports before enjoying a distinguished career as a litigating attorney. During the 1980s, he also served as a lecturer on Financial Analysis for The American Management Association.
Mr. O’Hara has served on numerous boards for corporate, charitable and socio-political organizations spanning the computer, consulting, financial services, media, microbiology, resort, retail, and systems integration industries. In addition, he has been an active member of the advisory boards of the business schools for two major universities.
Mr. O’Hara’s academic credentials include a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Cincinnati, Executive MBA studies at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management/Engineering from the University of Cincinnati where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
He is a member of the national academic honoraries Beta Gamma Sigma and Sigma Iota Epsilon. Among other honors, Mr. O’Hara has been listed in Who’s Who in America and 2000 Notable American Men. He has also received the John P. Rattigan Award (Medical/Legal Jurisprudence), the Ringo-Holmes Award (Advertising) and Presidential, Congressional and Gubernatorial Letters of Commendation in recognition of his publications.
Mr. O’Hara brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge to his speeches and consulting assignments. He is an expert in contract development and negotiation, acquisitions facilitation and integration, marketing and marketing communications, organizational development, sales, situational assessment, alternative analysis and problem resolution, strategic planning, and a variety of other disciplines.
Mr. O’Hara has been described as an “organizational architect” in recognition of his ability to radically transform the attitude and performance parameters of the businesses he has served.
