An ‘Unspeakable’ Way to Return the Republic to the People

Boehner at the 113th Congress in WashingtonSAN DIEGO, Ca. December 3, 2014 – Every two years, we are graced with the opportunity to either restart our Nation or reaffirm Jonathan Gruber’s hypothesis concerning our stupidity. Unfortunately, the Parties have conditioned our behavior to favor the latter. They have also been allowed to erect enormous economic barriers to ballot access that have turned our election cycles into auctions. Legitimate independent candidates with fresh ideas can’t afford the “buy in.” So, we’re stuck… or are we?

What if I told you that a solution actually exists; one that might break the gridlock in Washington, D.C.; one that can be accomplished with little or no money; one that just might return political power to the People? Do I have your attention? … Read more

Impeachment and lawsuits: Party tools of emotional extortion

Impeachment Sign in Bywater, N.O. 5 Feb 2007RANCHO SANTA FE, Ca., August 4, 2014 – In a Nation that favors sound bites over solutions, it should not come as a surprise that the term “political integrity” has become little more than an oxymoron. Ethics be damned: If the Parties can use something to “stimulate the base,” you may rest assured they will pursue it. It is irrelevant whether it makes sense or is morally reprehensible as long as it can be used to extract money and votes. The recent discussion of impeachment and lawsuits are cases in point … Read more

Secret revealed: The anti-trust strategy of Obama and the parties

William_Tecumseh_Sherman_and_staff_-_Brady-HandyRANCHO SANTA FE, Ca., November 4, 2013 – Given its current trajectory, the Obama Administration might well be remembered for the tenacity with which it prosecuted an anti-trust campaign. “Anti-trust” isn’t to be confused with the term “antitrust.” The former has nothing to do with the Sherman Act or illegal activities that interfere with the free market system. It refers to a destructive force more akin to a different Sherman’s March to the Sea. It deals with what appears to be an intentional obfuscation of the truth … Read more

Halloween politics: Disguises, tricks and glitches create an ObamaScare

Halloween MontageRANCHO SANTA FE, Calif., October 28, 2013 — BREAKING NEWS: Democrats and Republicans, whose political tactics are frighteningly similar, have secretly merged into a single Party. The new political party will be called the Halloween Party.

The fledgling Party is a political Frankenstein. Strategists have long recognized the importance of combining the two organizations while maintaining the charade of their separate existence. With a shared addiction to money and power, why compete for half the dollars and votes when you can get them all? You just have to pretend that you’re not who you appear to be, and that’s what Halloween is all about … Read more

President reopens government with a warning

Storm Brewing MontageRANCHO SANTA FE, Ca., October 21, 2013 – Not to be disrespectful, but President Obama misled the American people at the conclusion of the speech with which he reopened the Government on October 17, 2013. He chided partisan politics by saying: We come from different Parties, but we are Americans first. And that’s why disagreement cannot mean dysfunction. It can’t degenerate into hatred.”

Of course it can, Mr. President. Look at the actions of both Parties leading up to the shutdown and in the brief time that has passed since; listen to the rhetoric of the Parties and those groups that support them; or just read other facets of your speech … Read more

Truth and answers about Shutdown 2013 and the budget crisis

budget-crisis-barack-obama-640_s640x427WASHINGTON, October 3, 2013 –  … Seeking out the sane and qualified we turn to T.J. O’Hara, an internationally recognized political commentator and strategic consultant in the private and public sectors and a veteran columnist here at Communities.

In 2012, O’Hara emerged as a leading independent candidate for the Office of President of the United States. Mr. O’Hara won the first on-line “virtual” Presidential election, which was based on the quality of the candidates’ solutions, by a commanding 72.1% over Barack Obama.  Through his speaking and writing he continually offers solutions to the “inside the beltway ills.”

T.J. answered the call to help us better understand just what the budget crisis, Shutdown 2013 and the fight over the Affordable Health Care act is all about … Read more

The President, Congress and political schizophrenia

2013-09-24 MontageRANCHO SANTA FE, Ca., September 24, 2013 –  Political schizophrenia is an egotistical disorder that makes it hard to tell the difference between what is real and what is not real, and President Obama and Congress are poster children of the syndrome. They collectively demonstrate the classic symptoms of partisan paranoia coupled with delusional and disorganized thinking. We need to stop pretending that they’re normal, so they can recognize their need to seek help.

Congress has grown dysfunctional because of the disorder. Too many members of the House and Senate, on both sides of the aisle, have been reduced to little more than delivery mechanisms for their respective Parties’ bullet points. Keep in mind: These bullet points are scripted by unelected individuals who are only focused on maintaining or expanding their particular Party’s power. For the most part, they couldn’t care less about “forming a more perfect Union” … Read more

A Civil Assessment: The cure for partisan politics

Signing of the ConstitutionRANCHO SANTA FE, Ca., July 9, 2013 – This is an introduction to a social experiment in which you are invited to participate. How often have you read an Op-Ed piece by a purported “expert” with whom you clearly disagreed? How often have you felt that the “expert” was biased and presented only those facts which supported his or her opinion? How often have you believed you could have done a better job?

Well, now is your chance!

WHAT: The Communities section of The Washington Times, under which this social experiment will be conducted, is somewhat unique … Read more
